Forensic neuropathology
From Forensicmed
Forensic neuropathology is the application of the knowledge of neuropathology for the purposes of justice and legal administration. For example, if a person has been hit on the head with, say, a hammer, an examination of the skull fracture can often reveal the shape of the hammer. From an examination of the internal injuries, one could reasonably opine upon the nature of the weapon used. Such information can be used to corroborate or refute witnesses statements.
